Rose Parade 2018
Rose Parade 2018 is coming back better than ever. The Rose Parade is one of the biggest festivals in Pasadena, California. Pasadena is the home to Rose parade and the also the Rose Bowl Game. The Rose Parade began in 1980 to show California’s bright sunny climate. This tradition consists of elaborate floral boats representing a certain foundation. This is the most creative way to see the beauty of nature, which has a variety of flowers. During the Rose Parade, you will also hear and see musical performances by many familiar faces and or marching troupes. They also carry the crowning of the fresh-faced Rose Queen and her court. This celebration draws every year more than a million spectators who line up on the streets of Pasadena. Many even sleep over a day before to locate and secure the perfect spot for the parade. This is a New Year celebration for everyone.
In addition, after the amazing Rose Parade comes the College Football Playoff Semifinal presented by Northwestern Mutual. Taking place on January 1, 2018, at 1 pm and will feature the Oklahoma Sooners vs. Georgia Bulldogs. The first tournament of Roses football game was on January 1, 1902. Since then, the tradition has been continued year after year. This is something that many locals look forward to every New Year!
Where It Begins:
The parade begins at 8 am at the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard.
