Museum Day Live!
Museum Day Live!, provided by Smithsonian Museums, will be giving free admission to several museums on September 23, 2017. To begin with, Smithsonian magazine, the ones hosting the event, will have museums across the country open their doors to everyone. They will be giving free museum tickets online. The city of Los Angeles will be one of those places to participate. Los Angeles is well known for its diverse culture, and everyone can see that through the various museums around the city. Autry Museum of the American West
First, we have the Autry Museum of the American West. In this museum you can discover the art, history, and cultures of the American West. The museum is located in Griffith Park. Opened from 10am-5pm daily. Entrance is always free of charge.
California African American Museum
Second, we have the California African Museum, which explores the art and the history of African Americans. Several works of art, artifacts, and historical documents are on display. Open to the public from 10a-5pm. Admission to this museum is always free.

GRAMMY Museum at L.A. LIVE
In third, we have the Grammy Museum at L.A LIVE. This museum will accept your Museum Day Live! ticket for free admission on September 23, 2017 only. Take advantage to get a glimpse of over 166 genres of music’s rich cultural history. From Johnny Cash to Taylor Swift, the variety is endless. The museum is open from 10am-6pm.
Japanese American National Museum
Lastly, the Japanese American National Museum is the second museum that will accept your Museum Day Live! ticket. It is opened from 11am-5pm daily. This museum promotes understanding and appreciation of Japanese Americans. You can explore the culture and heritage through this experience.
