With stunning views overlooking the City, Barnsdall Park welcome Angelenos—21 years and older—to sip wine, picnic and watch the sunset for another not-to-be-missed season of wine tasting at the iconic cultural destination. Marking its 8th season and attracting sellout crowds, the renowned Barnsdall Friday Night Wine Tastings—the Foundation’s signature fundraising event—returns to the hill on June 3rd and continues through September 2nd. While families of all ages are invited to enjoy the Park, picnic, dance, and participate in craft-making, due to legal regulations, only those ages 21+ will be allowed inside the fence for the wine tasting portion. Local gourmet cheese shop, Say Cheese, is also sponsoring the event and there will be a number of specialty food trucks on hand from tacos to ice-cream! This year, Lyft is partnering with the Foundation to provide discounted rides to Barnsdall wine-goers.There will be a brand-new merchandise table with Barnsdall-centric swag available for purchase, including branded wine-tasting Tees, signature wine glasses, Barnsdall picnic blankets as well as savory and sweet snacks. Taking place on the West Lawn, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, tickets cost $30 for a tasting and $45 for a tasting + tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s UNESCO-nominated Hollyhock House. LA Zoo Roaring Nights @ LA Zoo

The summer music series Roaring Nights at the L.A. Zoo welcomes you to explore the Zoo after hours. This year’s festivities is expanded to four rocking great Friday nights: June 24, July 29, August 26, and September 16.

The fun kicks off on Friday, June 24 with a “phat” ’90s revival, featuring music from your favorite grunge and boy bands, and fashion styles that would make the kids from “Beverly Hills, 90210” jealous.

In July, you’ll have a good ol’ time tush pushin’ to some of country music’s greatest hits from Keith Urban to Carrie Underwood to Jason Aldean.

August brings back memories of Coachella with an indie rock night.

The series gets totally tubular in September with ’80s night, celebrating an era of Aqua Net hair spray, neon fashion, and Rubik’s Cube. You won’t want to miss the special tributes to Prince and David Bowie!

In addition to live performances, these four nighttime events bring you dance-worthy DJ sets, animal keeper talks, animal feedings, food trucks, art stations, and so much more.

Plentiful free parking is available. Admission to Roaring Nights at the L.A. Zoo is limited to guests 18 years and older. Valid I.D. is required. We recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance in order to avoid waiting in line. Online ticketing closes at 5 p.m. on the day of the concerts, but you can still purchase your tickets at the membership windows of the Zoo as early as 6:30 p.m.

Jul 30 – Jul 31 all-day
KCON 2016 @ STAPLES Center

KCON USA is the original convention dedicated to bring “All Things Hallyu” to the American fan base.

KCON is the one place where every element of Hallyu encompassing pop music, TV dramas, movies, fashion, food, and beauty can be experienced and celebrated. At KCON, you can encounter your favorite stars, stimulating panels, interactive workshops, and countless booths of fun dedicated to putting the world of Hallyu at your fingertips!

KCON began as a one day event in 2012 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine.
After three years of exponential growth, KCON 2015 grew to a five-day festival in two locations: a three-day festival in the enormous Los Angeles Convention Center, two nights of concerts in the iconic Staples Center and a first-ever KCON in the New York Metro Area at the Prudential Center with a concert night! KCON now stands as one of the “22 Best Music Festivals of 2015” listed by FUSE.

Hallyu continues to prove itself as a global phenomenon as KCON 2016 expands to take place once again in Japan and heads over to the UAE for KCON Abu Dhabi. This will be the first time such a large K-pop event is being hosted in the Middle East and marks an enormous expansion of K-Pop overseas. KCON is also becoming a valuable platform for industry professionals to connect with their audience, create content, and expand the Hallyu community.

It’s a celebration bringing more fans, more stars, more panels, and more hi-touches! Let’s party at KCON 2016!
