The Autry Museum in Griffith Park
The Autry Museum is located in Griffith Park. Discover the art, history, and cultures of the American West. To begin with, this gallery holds many artifacts, film memorabilia, historic firearms, and much more. In addition, the museum spans three campuses, the Autry Museum in Griffith Park, the Historic Southwest Museum Mt. Washington Campus, and the Resources Center of the Autry. The Historic Southwest Museum Mt. Washington Campus is the original location of the Southwest Museum of the American Indian. It is the oldest museum in Los Angeles.
On the other hand, not only does the Autry Museum have the museum itself it also hosts the event, “Odd Nights at the Autry.” This event takes place on the outside lawn right in front of the Autry Museum. Every 3rd Friday of the month starting in July through October you can enjoy an evening with friends and family in this amazing atmosphere. You can enjoy the sunset while shopping in the famous mobile fashion Boutique on Wheels! Many unique fashion pieces will be up on display for purchase. Another great feature is the Kid’s Area, where they provide many rides and slides. The best of all are the Food Trucks! About 20 food trucks will be on site from 6:00pm-11pm. A few of those food trucks are, B & W Truck, Bison Burger, Cousins Main Lobster, Epic Tacos, Indians Jones Chow Truck, and the famous Jenis Ice Cream!
