Ladies and Gentlemen, get out those comfy pants and get ready for every food lover’s dream! It’s Dine LA Restaurant week! And by week, they actually mean TWO weeks! Fourteen whole days of roughly 300 different restaurants participating in a dining showcase where they each have their own pre-fixed lunch and dinner menus. That’s only about 20 restaurants per day, if you want to try them all! (Okay, Okayyyy. That’s quite possibly IMPOSSIBLE, butttt I sense a challenge! LoL!) Now, for someone like me, a MAJOR food connoisseur, this just might be one of my favorite events in LA. Being such a busy body, I eat out A LOT, and it can add up! When I go out to eat, I like to try a variety of things on the menu. I’m never content with just one item. I’m an appetizer (or two), entrée, and dessert kind of gal. That’s why Dine LA Restaurant week is so exciting and appealing! You get to try multiple things and explore the menu without worrying about the dreaded bill at the end! It’s a great way to try new places at great, low costs! The restaurants are spread all throughout LA, and are of many different cuisines, so there is something for everyone. Each restaurant has a lunch menu where you can pick two items for $15/$20/$25 and a dinner menu where you can pick 3 items for $29/$39/$49. (Some may only offer one or the other, so be sure to check their online menu before going.) I have made a small list of a couple of my personal favorites, as well as some hot spots right here in Hollywood. Just a hop, skip, and a jump away from The Dixie!
Here they are restaurants participating in Dine LA Restaurant Week:
Sage, a Plant Based Bistro- Culver City $29 Dinner
Gracias Madre, Vegan/Mexican- West Hollywood $15 Lunch/$29 Dinner
Café Gratitude, Vegetarian/Vegan- Hollywood $15 Lunch/$29 Dinner
Katsuya, Japanese- Hollywood $20 Lunch/$39 Dinner
The Little Door, French Cuisine- West Hollywood $49 Dinner
Taste on Melrose, Contemporary American- West Hollywood $15 Lunch/$29 Dinner
Pizzeria Mozza, Italian- Hollywood $15 Lunch/$29 Dinner
On a side note, I was recently informed that for the first time this year, Dine LA Restaurant has joined forces with Open Table to provide donations to Midnight Mission, a non-profit organization providing food, shelter, and essential aid to the homeless. There will be a $1 donation for every reservation made on their site. So please, if you know in advance where you will be dining, go to Dine LA Restaurant Week to make your reservation, and feel good about yourself while enjoying your meal! ☺
Don’t forget to button those pants back up when you leave! :-p
