Enchanted: Forest of Light-Descanso Gardens
Descanso Gardens is a Southern California historical landscape. It is located about 20 minutes away from downtown. To begin with, the view that Descanso Gardens gives is fascinating. It is an urban retreat with a year-round fresh natural beauty. This beautiful botanic garden is opened to the public. Descanso’s history goes back thousands of years. Native Americans, the Tongva, left very little architecture and artifacts. The most precious thing they left was the region, which is now the Descanso Gardens. The event Enchanted: Forest of Light is an interactive, nighttime experience. It is a one-mile walk through a lighting experience in some parts of the Descanso Gardens. There are plenty of things you can view at the Descanso Gardens.
First, as mentioned, we have the walk of the Enchanted: Forest of Light. A few of the displays are interactive and some are only to observe. It takes an average of 45 minutes to do the whole walkthrough. Take note that there are a few other sections you could also check out on your trip to the gardens. There is the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Camellia Collection, Oak Forest, Ancient Forest California Natives, Center Circle, Oak Woodland, and Nature’s Table. You can also ride the famous Enchanted Railroad. The railroad travels a section of the Gardens near the Promenade. To finish up the trip you can stop by the Descanso Gardens gift shop that has products for any type of garden lover. Lastly, if you need to fuel up, there is the Descanso Café.
