Best Outdoor Ice Skating
Los Angeles has popular outdoor holiday traditions and one of those is ice-skating. There are many ice-skating rinks that open up during a sunny afternoon in the holiday season. You can now experience winter in the sun! With everything decorated for the holidays, this experience is one for the books. Here are the top ice-skating rinks that made it on our list.
LA KINGS HOLIDAY ICE – L.A. LIVE (NOV 25, 2017 – JAN. 15, 2018)
First, we have the rink in Downtown Los Angeles in L.A LIVE. The Los Angeles Kings (Los Angeles Hockey Team) hosts this holiday outdoor attraction every year. Tickets begin at $20 per person for general admission. Fast pass and group options are also available.
ICE AT SANTA MONICA (NOV. 1, 2017 – JAN. 15, 2018)
Second, we have the Ice at Santa Monica Beach. In the corner of 5th Street and Arizona every year, it is transformed into a winter wonderland. It is an annual tradition that many locals look forward to. This venue also provides skating lessons with experienced professionals for skaters of all skill levels. Admission is $15 for all-day skating, which also includes the skate rental.
HOLIDAY ICE RINK PERSHING SQUARE (NOV. 16, 2017 – JAN. 15, 2018)
Holiday Ice Rink Pershing Square is celebrating their 20th anniversary. This is probably Los Angeles largest outdoor ice-skating rink in the area. General admission for each one-hour session is $13, which also includes the skate rental. One fun fact, if you ride the metro to the venue you receive a $1 skating session discount. Pershing Square will also have some special events this season that include, DJ Spotlights, Arabian Nights, Learn to Curl, Silent Skate Party, and Polar Bear Skate.
CHILL: ICE ADVENTURE PARK – THE QUEEN MARY (DEC. 13, 2017 – JAN. 7, 2018)
Finally, the last one Chill: Ice Adventure Park! You can embark on an International Christmas extravaganza at the Queen Mary boat. It will be showcasing food, music, and live entertainment for everyone.
